  • On the 8th of September, Professor Raquel Ortega-Argiles gave a provocation at the round table on “The levelling-up white paper: Economic and Social Infrastructure” organised by CURDS and the Levelling-Up Unit at UK Cabinet Office.
  • On the 8th of September, Professor Raquel Ortega-Argiles participated at the round table on “The levelling-up white paper: Innovation and Firms” organised by ERC, CURDS and the Levelling-Up Unit at UK Cabinet Office.
  • On 9th September Professor Anne Green presented the first of two provocations at a ‘Levelling Up White Paper Roundtable: Employment and organised by CURDS and the Levelling-Up Unit based at UK Cabinet Office.

Look ahead to the coming months…
  • On the 13th October, City-REDI and Colmore BID will launch the Future Business District at The Exchange.
  • On the 14th October, Rebecca Riley will be speaking at an event for the What Works Centre for Local Growth – Recovery Workshop – Monitoring and evaluation during the recovery.
  • On the 21 October, City-REDI and the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce will be holding the launch of the Birmingham Economic Review 2021.
  • Hannes Read will be hosting an event at the Future City Centres as part of the Festival of Social Science on Wednesday 17th November 19:00 -20:30 at The Exchange.
  • Professor Raquel Ortega-Argiles will be a keynote speaker at the 6th Geography of Innovation GEOINNO2022 conference to be held in Milan on the 26th-28th of January 2022.
  • Professor Raquel Ortega-Argiles is part of the scientific committee of the 6th Global Conference in Economic Geography to be held in Dublin between the 7th-10th June 2022.
