Events – presenting work / speaking engagements
  • City-REDI / WMREDI held two fringe events during the party conference season. Professor Adam Tickell hosted the second event held at The Exchange.
  • On 19th October, City-REDI / WMREDI hosted the Civic Network Advisory Group Dinner at The Exchange.
  • On 20th October, City-REDI and the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce held the launch event for the Birmingham Economic Review 2022.
  • On 24th October, City-REDI and the ONS held the ONS Economic Forum, looking at the current state of the UK economy and data analysis at the local level.

Local and Central Government
  • City-REDI hosted a sandpit with interested local policy officials and academics on what long term evaluation or study into the impacts of the Commonwealth Games may cover and how it might be funded on 21st October. It was invitation only event held at the Exchange with some delegates joining remotely.
Awards/ Funding
  • A series of reports on levelling-Up and Regional Inequality co-produced by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and City-REDI won silver at the Association Excellence Awards in the ‘Best Awareness Campaign or Advancement of a Cause (launched in 2022) category’.
  • WMREDI are part of a new partnership helping universities to maximise their local impact – the National Civic Impact Accelerator (NCIA), led by Sheffield Hallam University.
